This hotel is for animal lovers for the owner has four pet dogs, whimsically named Basil, Parsley, Ginger and Thyme.

There is a local bus stop and a taxi rank outside the gate, beach bars and restaurants are a few minutes drive.

The Tamarind is a picturesque old Portuguese style property built in exposed local stone, with 22 en-suite shower and toilet rooms, and a balcony or terrace. All the rooms have cool flagstone floors and attractive local stone walls, overlook the swimming pool, dotted around with tropical fruit trees.

The Tamarind is a place you will want to visit again and again. It is an informal playground of natural beauty, large enough to offer the discerning traveller everything he desires and small enough to give individual service.

The Tamarind restaurant offers a varied menu, and the standards are high. The wrap round verandah which is furnished with antique furnitures overlooking dense tropical gardens has seating for 36.

You will be treated to a gourmet feast by our chefs who have been trained in every detail of the dishes they prepare.

Whether the dishes be of continental, Goan or Indian origin, they are individually prepared from the freshest ingredients, cooked without the use of flavour enhancers, creating a variety of flavours enhanced by an exquisite blend of wine, herbs and spices.
