Goa's leading boutique hotel sits elegantly tucked into the hills of Arpora, surrounded by luscious gardens with a breathtaking view over palm groves and the stunning Arabian sea.

Gently curving walls hand cut of natural laterite stone, organically shaped free-form structures, natural pathways connecting the scattered rooms, trees in abundance on lush green lawns embrace the 33 meter swimming pool that occurs like a jungle lagoon on the cliff edge.

The blue domed hall furnished with silk covered mattresses and cushions lend it an atmosphere reminiscent of Rajasthani palaces.

Each of the eleven rooms is an excercise of style. All are individually named, designed and decorated with inspiration drawn from the eastern cosmic elements and nature (fire, soul, moon, sun, stars, air etc.). The design such as it is an eclectic jumble of Mogul, Mediterranean, Portuguese, Spanish influences and even touches of Hindu temple.

All bedrooms feature plenty of living space. Large beds with dressing rooms, indoor/outdoor bathrooms and a terrace with the sea-view. Ethnic-chic hand picked pieces from Rajasthan and Gujarat vie with antique colonial style furniture found in Bombay's Chor Bazaar.

Eleven guest rooms, each one a uniquely detailed fantasy. The rooms are not numbered but named after cosmic elements. For example: sun, moon, earth, fire.

Have own Ayurvedic Massage Centre. Treatments are given by highly professional in-house Ayurvedic doctors. Health club is not biased towards sport or violent exercise (though do have a state of the art gym, jogging trails as well as an excellent tennis court). Instead, offer relaxation therapies: Ayurvedic oil massage, steam baths and yoga.

Menu does not offer a choice of Goan, Chinese, Italian and Tandoori Specialties. Nilaya's cuisine is a subtle, personal blend of Eastern and Western flavours. You may dine al fresco by the pool, wrapped in a sarong in the dining room or privately on your own terrace or in your room. Savour outstanding menus at the poolside restaurant overlooking the ocean. Executive Chef specializes in his personal blend of East and West, using plenty of fresh sea-food and home garden grown organic vegetables. Also prepare a variety of Goan Specialties and serve Indian curries upon request.
